Gratitude and renewed commitment

Today is a day for deep reflection and prayer. We remember with gratitude those who have given their lives in war and conflicts so that we might have the possibility of peace - and we reflect that we still have not been able to reach that goal of harmony in our world. We pray for those who have died and we recommit ourselves to doing our part to work for peace and justice in our families, our communities and our society.
