Daring to love

The depth of God’s love is shown by the fact that he gave us his Son so that everyone might have the chance of being saved. And his love requires only of us that we believe in him – that we respond to his love with our love. If we will not take the risk to love, if we prefer to rely on our own strengths and abilities, then we will live in the darkness of our own self-centredness. But if we are willing to love -- even with all our imperfections -- then we have the promise of eternal life.
