Is 45:6-8,18,21-25 before Jesus people mostly saw God as punishing people so they closed off, lived a lie, and did not hear God’s truth speaking inside them. Christ the light had yet to shine brightly.

Lk 7:19-23 we see Jesus being truthful. His deeds reveal who he is. The difference between the two is something I must work on through all my life, to become more true to myself and credible to others.
