The household of God

This Gospel describes a no-win situation. Jesus’ listeners are satisfied neither by John Baptist’s austere way of life nor the more hospitable, people-centred life of Jesus. The comings and goings of God cannot be confined. Think over how God speaks to you in your everyday life. Where? Through whom? Perhaps God speaks to you in unlikely, unwanted places and people, or through those close to you. Listen for the whisperings of God today.
