“Who could ever be sated with gazing at his glory,” the concluding words of today’s First reading. What God’s hand has made includes the magnificent scenery of what we call ‘God’s own country.’ The mountain ranges, the gorges and braided rivers, the harbours and headlands, the native bush and forests, plains and valleys. Many visitors take home with them calendars and pictorial books to remember stunning scenery and the many beauties of nature in our country. That being said, let us also remember that “the glory of God is man fully alive.” (St Irenaeus)
Mary, glory of Jerusalem, plead for us.
