“Add a smiling face to all your gifts,” eight wonderful words from the First Reading today. We can give gifts of birthday presents, gifts of time and talents by being committee members of clubs etc, gifts of tinned goods for the Vincent de Paul or Salvation Army food banks, gifts of a handwritten letter or an email greeting or message. Do not forget to add metaphorically and literally a smiling face. And do you remember the phrase ‘Saints are not sad?’
