4th Sunday of Lent

2 Chronicles 36:14-16, 19-23, Ps 137, Ephesians 2:4-10, John 3:14-21

We are God’s work of art.

When you look in the mirror do you remember those words? Try repeating them often this week. Do you recognise the one who angers or frustrates you as God’s work of art also? ‘Jesus did not come to condemn but that through him the world might be saved.’ What a promise! Why do we fear taking our sins to Reconciliation? We are not condemned nor forced to deal with them alone. We’re invited to turn to the light of Christ and live by truth. God is the master craftsman who longs to restore his beloved work of art.
