Ananias’ comment: “I have heard from many sources about this man….” reminded me of a niggly conversation I overheard in a parish when an absent parishioner was being knifed! Let’s remember that all are made in the image of God and hear the Lord saying about others who irritate us: “this person is a chosen instrument of mine”. Or in the words of Pope Francis pray:

“Lord, I am angry with this person. I pray to you for him and for her”. To pray for a person with whom I am irritated is a beautiful step forward in love, and an act of evangelization.
