Does faith sit on the surface of my life?

It’s tempting to presume Jesus’ tough words aren’t for me. But am I living as Paul described? Do I live as if I believe Jesus and his promise of eternal life? Do I radiate God’s love? Would anyone recognise ‘utter conviction’ of faith and the power of the Holy Spirit in me? Have I spread the Word of the Lord recently? Have I asked the Holy Spirit to break my idols? Do I live authentically as God’s servant or does my faith sit on the surface of my life like the Pharisees? Lord have mercy on me a sinner.
