Being brought to light

Oh, how our sinfulness paralyses our love! As disciples we need to reflect on this fact. Sometimes we need fellow travellers to bring us to a place where we can overcome sin and ask for forgiveness. Family or community members are good at doing this because they live with us and know us well. Because they love us they are good at bringing to the light the underlying pride that paralyses our love. Do I appreciate this sacramental nature of home or community life?
