Vanity

None of us would like to think we’re hypocrites. But vanity is closely related to hypocrisy and I suspect that most of us suffer from that vice in varying degrees. How much am I influenced by what others will think of me? A lot, I think! The antidote is to try and be concerned only by what God thinks rather than what people think. After all, what people think of me will have only short term consequences, but what God thinks will have eternal consequences.
