Jesus the Bread of Life

Again from John. “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.” Is the Eucharist the reason why we go to mass? For some it could be for the message from the readings and the pulpit - unfortunately I can’t hear the messages always; maybe I’m not the only one. The words of Thomas à Kempis encourage me to take communion frequently -

“When Jesus is present all is well and nothing seems difficult” What do you think?
