Isaiah 49:8-15,, Ps. 145, John 5:17-30

I can do nothing by myself.

Jesus knows who he is in relation to God. He knows that his mission in life is to do the will of the one who sent him. Jesus is clear that he lives to proclaim the kingdom of God. This is his mission – it is his reason, his source and his final destiny.

Let us pray for the gift of a faithfulness that enables us to understand and accept who we are.
