Let’s do a Jack Horner and pull just one plum out of this rich Gospel Reading. “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” Jesus speaks to us in many ways but pre-eminently when the Scriptures are read in church. When it’s hard to listen to a lector at Holy Mass or other liturgy try watching his or her lips. They can be an excellent visual aid
