Mary, Mother of God

Numbers 6:22-27; Psalm 67:2-3,5,6-8; Galatians 4:4-7; Luke 2: 16-21

New beginnings

Today is a new day and a new year; yesterday is in the past. Today we can begin afresh. Mary ushered in a new age of peace and joy when she gave birth to her son, Jesus, our light and our saviour. Through Mary’s ‘fiat’ our lives are blessed. Her generosity, her practical nature, her love of her son are qualities we could well emulate. Let me today reflect on the part Mary plays in my life. Hail Mary, full of grace.
