Come as You Are

St Peter is a great role model. Not because he was perfect, but because he was flawed – like us. Not because he was strong, but because he was weak – like us. Because, despite his flaws, he responded to Jesus’ call to follow Him and to serve in the community of Jesus’ followers as their leader. We, all of us, whatever our flaws, are also called by Jesus to follow him, and to play our part in the Christian community. “Come as you are, that’s how I want you”.
