That they may be one
At the last supper Jesus prayed for those whom he was about to leave behind. He prayed that his followers would be protected from the evil one and consecrated to the truth of his word. The great sign of this protection and consecration would be their unity in love. This is why we go to church on Sunday and receive communion. Look around you next Sunday at mass. Do we go to mass for ourselves or for communion with those in the pews about us?
