Love from the heart

The laws and customs talked about in Deuteronomy are reaffirmed by Jesus in Matthew. Whereas in the Ten Commandments we are told to do this or don’t do that, in his teachings, Jesus wants the laws to go deeper into our hearts. We need an attitude of love towards our brothers and sisters that brings about a fulfilment and enrichment of the laws God gave to Moses. Lord, help us deepen in love to you and to those around us.
