He will sustain us

As we get older we start to realise that there is no such thing as the ‘good life’ or the ‘perfect life,’ as often presented to us as what we should continually be seeking. The Gospel reminds us that life can be hard at times, especially for those who try to remain faithful to the Lord. We should not loose heart however, as when we fully enter the kingdom of God we will be filled with joy. Let’s be content with being like the tree that Jeremiah speaks of, and thrust our roots into the stream of God’s grace and love to be sustained in times of trial.
