Face to face

The scribes appear for the first time. Jesus “called them to him.” He knew about the rumours they were spreading about him. Face to face, Jesus responds to them with patience and serenity by telling them parables. Jesus is not declaring that the scribes have sinned. Rather, he is warning them of the serious situation they are in unless they open their hearts to the Holy Spirit and repent. What can I learn from Jesus about relating to difficult and powerful people?
