The greatest commandment

Today we hear about discipleship – we are given a model for following Jesus, which is essential if we are to be his disciples. And Paul reminds us of the beauty of the second part of the great commandment - to love one another, as we love ourselves. To do so means we can never hurt another, and so by loving we are obeying all the other commandments that we have learnt from the Old Testament. Love will overcome all sin. Let us pray for that love today.
