Small actions done with love
Moses’ mother could not surrender him to death. Facing evil and injustice, she used her wits to do what little she could. God rewarded her efforts by having her wet-nurse her son. We can feel frustrated at the futility of one action against overwhelming injustice. The story of Moses reminds us small acts done with simplicity, courage and great love can transform situations. God used a desperate mother’s ‘futile’ act to ultimately bring freedom to Israel. What overwhelms you? Pray for wisdom to do what you can with courage and love, and trust God for the outcome in his time.
