It is the Lord
The one who recognises Jesus first is the mysterious Beloved Disciple. His recognition prompts the recognition by Simon Peter and the others. The faith of holy people does influence our journey of faith. Our faith in some mysterious way influences how people come to know Jesus.
Gratitude for the people who have contributed to my journey of faith.
It is the same with us, in that we can have a moment when we recognise the presence of Christ in someone, and it may be completely unexpected. We can look at a photo of someone we know but in a setting where we have never seen them before, and initially not recognise them, and see 'the Lord' in them in a way we have not seen it before.
