Links between the generations

Many of our schools celebrate the feast of Joachim and Anne as ‘Grandparents’ Day’. It is quite wonderful to see the many ways this day has grown in popularity within our schools. Likewise our Masses of Anointing – these are wonderful ways in which we take time to honour our elders for their wisdom, their compassion and for their prayer within our faith communities. Grandparents’ Day is a way of building community and strengthening the links between the generations within the Body of Christ.
