EASTER SUNDAY

Acts 10:34, 37-43; Psalm 118; Colossians 3:1-4; John 20:1-9

He saw and he believed.

There is a stillness in the early morning hours. A time to be and become present. Our gospel this morning describes that first Easter Sunday morning. Mary of Magdala is off to the grave, actually first thing. It was so early that it was still dark. John and Peter then come sprinting to the grave, they come and see and believe. In those darkest of moments, can we in silence, come and see and believe? You may have many plans for today, but can you carve out some time to be with God in thanksgiving? The same God who created you is with you, the God who, out of tremendous love, raised Jesus from a cold grave.
