Forgiven and forgiving

Repentance and mercy should go hand in hand. If we are truly sorry for our sins, the Lord will forgive us. His forgiveness should act as a lesson to us. What we have received from the Lord we should in turn pass on to others. When we have been offended against or hurt by others, we too should forgive them, as we have been forgiven our faults. Sometimes to forgive others is a difficult thing to do, so we should pray for the grace to be able to do it.
