Lazarus

The sin of the rich man in today’s gospel was not that he had a lot of money, but that he did not hear the cry of the poor man Lazarus. Lent is a time when we open the ears of our hearts to truly listen and respond to the needs of those around us. Often dwelling on what we lack and the problems we have can lead nowhere. Responding to the needs of others can enrich us in so many ways.
