Ash Wednesday
Today marks the beginning of our Lenten pilgrimage. We bear the sign of the ashes to show that we wish to repent and turn to the Lord. It is good to repent and be sorry for our sins. It heals us and revives us. It offers us the opportunity to affirm that we believe in the Good News, that Christ suffered and died for us so that we may have life. Let us come back to him with all our hearts, praying, fasting and giving alms.
