Identifying Our Priorities

We are constantly bombarded in advertising and the media with offers we can’t refuse; with opportunities that will make us safe and secure for life; with the promise that we will be happy if we only seize the moment. Happiness is a good thing; an appropriate sense of security and well-being is to be desired – but the question always is what will really bring us these things? Where are our priorities? Do we trust in God for our well-being and security, or do we trust in what we can possess and obtain?
