What Do I Choose?

St Francis was not a person to do things by halves. He was totally committed and, in the context of his times, visibly radical – not simply in rejecting his previous lifestyle but in positively choosing a closer following of Jesus. That same sense of radicality is reflected in the Gospel when Jesus sends his disciples out with no sense of security or of comfort. What choices do I have to make in terms of my present lifestyle to commit more closely to Jesus? Am I willing to make them?
