Trust the Word’s goodness

The parable of the lamp makes clear that Christians are not passive hearers of the Word. When enlightenment is received the disciple is to allow it to give light to others. It is tempting to enclose our faith into a private box within. We are being challenged to trust the truth of the Word of God. We are being challenged to trust the goodness that can only come from the truth of Jesus Christ being revealed.
