Mary, Mother of God

Numbers 6:22-27; Psalm 67; Galatians 4:4-7; Luke 2:16-21

World day of peace

We celebrate today Mary, Mother of God, who gave birth to Jesus, the author of life and Prince of Peace. This Jewish blessing is a wonderful prayer for us as we begin the New Year. “May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord let his face shine on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord uncover his face to you and bring you peace.” Through the intercession of Mary may I be an instrument of peace and good will each day this year.
