Carrying burdens

We all know what it is like to have something heavy taken from us and carried by another. We feel relieved and even privileged that someone has done this for us. Jesus says in the Gospel today that he wants to carry our burdens. We should not be reticent about asking Jesus to help us and give us strength to carry our burdens. We are also invited to reach out to others and help carry their burdens as well.
