Just the essentials

Nothing lasts forever! Great empires come and go, and their buildings and many of even the most durable monuments also go. Mother Nature and warfare have their impact also. It’s a reminder that material things are not forever, nor maybe as important as I might think. I certainly need the essentials, but now and then I do need to check my possessions. What do I really need? What is surplus? And what can I offer to someone more in need than me? Pray about that today, and act!
