Hello
Welcoming someone to your home, or sending a friend your greetings, are simple things to do. Both are deeply human actions. In welcoming a visitor, we put ourselves out for that person, making them special. Saying ‘hello,’ by letter or email or phone, again lifts the one you contact and strengthens the bonds of friendship. If there’s a ‘thank you’ involved, so much the better. Paul takes time to emphasize this to his readers – greeting them and expressing his gratitude for their kindness. Who have I welcomed, or thanked today? Remember them in your prayer.
