Playing fair

Communication is as important as air and water for healthy life. Many disputes, law-suits and even violence come from poor or mis-communication. Talking with and not at each other, listening as well as speaking, are necessary building blocks for any community to grow well. Recognising the presence of God in every gathering is key to ensuring priority is given to respect, honesty and fairness. Dear Jesus, your promise to be with us when we meet in your name is both consoling and challenging. In any disagreement, or difficult situation, may I remember your closeness and act as you would act. Amen.
