Acts 15:1-6; Ps 121; John 15:1-8

In our Gospel Jesus uses two defining images of relationship with him: In the first, he is the true vine and we are branches requiring pruning. Second is a more familial image, “make your home in me as I make mine in you.” Which image do you prefer? Is there some reality perhaps in your less preferred image that you tend to shy away from and therefore need to recognize and work more with?
