Apocalypse 7:2-4, 9-14; Ps 24; 1 John 3:1-3; Matthew 5:1-12

It’s all about Heaven

The readings today are all about Heaven. We can celebrate today because the huge number of souls in Heaven is celebrating. They are there because they loved and were loved by God, and responded to that love during their lives. God also loves us, so we have the hope of that same eternal life in Heaven. All we have to do is to love God in return and to try to live the life Jesus described in the Gospel reading – the Sermon on the Mount.
