Present to the Presence
To see no-one but Jesus. Our attention is consumed in many places and our environs demands of us to see this or that, or to want this or that. The life of Jesus unravels all of this nonsense and helps us to let go of what is not important. To keep climbing down from my own ‘Me First’ world, we can then acclimatise a little more to God’s world. The mountain moment for Peter, John and James allowed more of the fullness of Jesus to reach their hearts. They remind us that despite the daily agendas, demands, preoccupations as believers and persons of prayer, it is to see only Jesus that matters. To become present to the Presence. Can we take some time to be with Jesus and ask him for the grace to see him, love him more tenderly and follow him more closely.
