Whakapapa

Who we are is enhanced by our knowing from where we have come. Who are my great grandparents, grandparents, parents, my aunts, uncles and cousins? Where do they come from? The psalmist cautions against forgetting who we are and where we have come from and urges us to pass on to our mokopuna knowledge of our whakapapa. Our heritage as People of God is enriched and made more alive and colourful when we recall and share the Good News with our children and our grandchildren.
