Baptism of the Lord

Isaiah 42:1-4, 6-7; Psalm 29:1-4, 9-10;

God does not have favourites

For most of us our parents and godparents brought us to the church as infants and asked that we be baptised. Through Baptism we are reborn as a child of God. We become members of the body of Christ. As adults we will have renewed our baptismal promises made on our behalf at our Baptism, usually as a part of the Easter liturgy or when there is a Baptism during the Sunday Eucharist. Take time today to pray slowly our Profession of Faith – the Creed.
