Preparing for Christmas

We are now in the second week of Advent and we are encouraged to prepare and make an easy entry for Jesus into my life and heart; remove barriers, sinful attitudes and unhelpful habits. There is a tone of judgment and a warning. Don’t simply think you can claim ‘Abraham’ or being a ‘Christian’ as satisfactory for entry into heaven. “A tree which fails to produce good fruit will be cut down”. What practice can I do each day to ‘prepare’ and ‘make paths straight’ for Jesus to have a smoother entry into my life and heart?
