A positive attitude
When looking at humanity, Jesus calls it positively: “a rich harvest”. Perhaps this positive and missionary attitude of Jesus can help us today more than ever. People’s hearts are hungry, they feel torn in the different ways of the world, they search for meaning, they hope to find someone they can trust to lead them to good food and rest for their soul. What labour and work do I feel most suited for in this work of the harvest? Is it more ‘witness work in the world’ or ‘work inside the church to prepare it as a place of ‘welcome’? Both are needed to bring the harvest into the barn.
