Matthew wrote the longest of the four Gospels – 28 chapters; Mark: 16, Luke: 24, John: 21. We hear passages of Matthew’s gospel more frequently over each year. Jesus’ call to Matthew was at his place of employment – so too for us. Matthew was involved in finance, but it was Judas who looked after the money of the Twelve. The Lord’s call may take us into other occupations or employment
