Master of the Sabbath

It happens that the events in today’s gospel extract happen on a Saturday - it ties in with the Hebrew Sabbath. And indeed, the Lord protects all who love him, whatever the day of the week or month or year. May Pope St Gregory (540-604), who encouraged the preaching of Augustine of Canterbury to England, do the same today
