Pondering God’s words

Maybe Mary and Jesus’ other relations felt hurt and rejected as they heard his words. Surely Mary kept them in her heart as she had always done when her son said or did things that she could not understand. She knew that in time she would come to understood the deeper meaning of her Son’s words and actions. Of all his disciples Mary was the one who heard her Son’s words, pondered them in her heart, and lived by them. Are we too, able to ponder whatever seems negative in our lives and slowly come to understand God’s meaning for us in all that happens?
