Contemplating the mystery
Jesus says he is in the Father and the Father is in him. Philip cannot quite ‘get’ this. He wants the sort of satisfaction that leaves no room for doubt in discipleship. It is like this for us today. We must always strive to know Jesus Christ in his fullness of earthly and heavenly life. There will always be things about him that confound us at the moment we thought we knew him. Can I take a step back to contemplate and love the mystery of Jesus Christ’s divinity?
