In good times and in bad
We hear about two men of God in the readings today. David, the brave youth who would be king, and John the Baptist, the one who prepared the way of the Lord. David’s life was not perfect, but he lived a long life and became a great leader of his people. John the Baptist’s life was short and he died as a witness to Christ. Life is fickle. We don’t know what awaits us and for some life is cut short too soon. God is with us in good times and in bad.
