Christ the King (S)

Daniel 7:13-14; Psalm 93; Apocalypse 1:5-8; John 18:33-37

Everyone’s king

And so, we come to the end of the liturgical year, celebrating the glorious kingship of Christ. These readings fill us with wonder, and amaze us with their descriptions of the majesty of the Lord. Above all, he is a loving king for everyone, inclusive in every way. His kingdom is beyond our imagination, so different from our world, being based on truth and lasting for eternity. Do we rejoice, and show gratitude for the gift of such a King?
