The first commandment

Pope Francis points out that Jesus doesn’t ask us to love him (Jesus), but to love one another. Our love for Jesus is measured by our love for others: whatever you do to one another you do to me! [cf Matt 25:31-46]. This makes the greatest and the first commandment central to everything I do and say. O Jesus, help me to truly love everyone I meet, talk with, or pass by today, for this is the only genuine way I can show my love for you.
